Dr. Chan is a comprehensive ophthalmologist with a subspecialty focus on cataract and glaucoma, including minimally invasive glaucoma surgical techniques. He holds a public position at Fremantle Hospital and offers private consultations at the Lions Eye Institute in Western Australia. Dr. Chan graduated with honors in medicine from The University of Western Australia (UWA).

He completed a Glaucoma Fellowship at the Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, as well as a European Glaucoma Society Fellowship at Mainz University Hospital in Germany. He also holds a Masters in Medical Science (UWA) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education from the University of Cambridge. His research centers on conjunctival lymphatic and bleb imaging as predictors of surgical success.
