Dr Joe Paul graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2011 before completing his PhD in 2016. In addition to pursuing postdoctoral studies at the Centre for Eye Research Australia, Joe has practiced widely across the optometry sector, in public, private and corporate settings. Joe has also given invited lectures at universities and presented at national and international optometry and ophthalmology conferences.

In 2019 Joe joined the Specsavers Support Office Optometry Team, leading the creation of a local CPD event program followed by the Specsavers Clinical Conference Online Series during the Covid-19 pandemic. Joe is currently Head of Professional Services, leading Specsavers’ optometry data, professional risk and kids’ vision strategies.
