Dr Kate Reid

Neuro-ophthalmologist, Optic Nerve Canberra, Senior Lecturer ANU Medical School

Dr Reid spent fifteen years at Canberra Hospital as a Senior Staff specialist in Neuro-ophthalmology, developing a particular interest in IIH. As the inaugural Director of Ophthalmology, she initiated co-management with both public and private Optometry, including the first pilot of Oculo in an Australian public hospital. Now in private practice, she recently joined the Board of Vision 2020 Australia.

Dr Reid is an experienced educator, inaugurating then leading the ANU Medical Student Ophthalmology Program for a decade, and participating in the clinical training of over a hundred Ophthalmology Registrars. She continues as a lecturer for ANU, University of Canberra and Specsavers.
