Dr Robyn Troutbeck completed her ophthalmology training at Sydney Eye Hospital in 2008. She subsequently undertook a fellowship in Medical Retina at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital for 18 months followed by another year at the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital specialising in uveitis.

Since returning to Melbourne, she has been working as a consultant at the Eye and Hospital in the Ocular Immunology Clinic. She also works at Monash and the Royal Children's Hospital in the paediatric uveitis clinic.

She is actively involved in clinical trial work through the Centre of Eye Research Victoria and in private practice.
