Dr Sharma is a fellowship trained ophthalmologist, practicing in Bondi Junction & Miranda. Shanel undertook postgraduate fellowships in Strabismus at The Western Eye Hospital & Paediatric & Strabismus at Moorfields Eye Hospital.

Shanel also undertook medical retina clinics including intravitreal injection clinics at Moorfields Eye Hospital.

Shanel is accredited to treat patients with Botulinum Toxin for Strabismus, hemifacial spasm, & blepharospasm.

Dr Sharma is currently serving on the RANZCO public health committee & has previously served on the FRANZCO Examining Committee.

Shanel has over 20 scientific publications and has been a clinical lecturer at the University of Sydney since 2006.
